Why this happens
If your automation app is “reliable” on one phone and “random” on another, it’s usually not the app. It’s the phone’s battery manager.
Some brands (especially Xiaomi, Infinix, and Tecno) are aggressive about stopping background work. That saves battery, but it can delay schedules unless you allow the app to run properly.
Before you start: the 5 settings that matter most
Different phones use different names, but the goal is always the same: do not let the phone put your automation app to sleep.
Quick test to confirm your phone is blocking schedules
Xiaomi (MIUI / HyperOS): full checklist
Xiaomi phones are powerful, but their battery rules are strict. These are the common places that break automation.
1) Disable Battery optimization
- Settings → Battery (or Battery & performance).
- Find App battery saver / Battery optimization.
- Set TikTask to “No restrictions” (or the closest option).
2) Enable Auto-start (important)
- Settings → Apps → Permissions → Auto-start (or “Autostart”).
- Enable TikTask.
3) Lock the app in Recent apps (optional but helpful)
- Open TikTask.
- Open Recents.
- Long-press TikTask card → Lock.
4) Notifications are allowed
- Settings → Notifications → App notifications → TikTask → Allow.
Infinix (XOS): full checklist
Infinix usually hides the most important toggles under Power Manager / Battery Lab / App management.
1) Allow the app to run in background
- Settings → Battery / Power Manager.
- Find App management (or similar).
- Allow TikTask to run in background.
2) Disable power saving restrictions for the app
- Set TikTask to “No restrictions” (or “Don’t optimize”).
3) Auto-start / Startup manager
- Enable TikTask under Startup manager / Auto-start apps.
Tecno (HiOS): full checklist
Tecno is similar to Infinix (same ecosystem). The main goal is: allow background activity and remove power restrictions.
1) Power Manager / Battery settings
- Settings → Battery / Power Manager.
- Find App power management.
- Set TikTask to “No restrictions” (or equivalent).
2) Auto-start / Startup manager
- Enable TikTask in Startup manager.
3) Notifications + overlays
- Allow notifications for TikTask.
- Allow overlays if you use on-screen alerts/timers.
Extra fixes if it still fails
If schedules still run late after the main checklist, one of these is usually the missing piece:
- Turn off “Battery Saver” mode completely (test once).
- Allow “Unrestricted data” or background data for the app (if your phone has it).
- Keep the app updated (some OEM fixes come via updates).
- Restart the phone once after changing the settings.
The takeaway
Xiaomi, Infinix, and Tecno can block background automation by default. Once you disable restrictions and allow auto-start/background activity, scheduling becomes reliable again.
If you use TikTask, System Monitor helps you find and fix these settings quickly, without guessing.
