📱 Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO (MIUI): keep TikTask running reliably

MIUI is aggressive with battery saving. Do these settings once so your schedules run on time.

Xiaomi phones are great, but MIUI is very aggressive with battery saving. That’s why scheduling apps can feel random unless you change a few settings.

Don’t worry, you only do this once. After that, TikTask becomes reliable.

ℹ️
Tip
If a menu name is slightly different on your phone, use the Search bar in Settings and type the word in bold (Battery saver, Autostart, Notifications).

What we’re fixing (simple explanation)

  • MIUI may stop apps from running in the background
  • MIUI may delay alarms to save battery
  • Auto-start can be blocked after reboot
  • Notifications may be limited or hidden

5-minute MIUI checklist (do in order)

1) Turn off Battery restrictions (most important)

Goal: set TikTask to No restrictions so MIUI doesn’t delay schedules.

1
Option 1: Using System Monitor
Open TikTask → System Monitor → Battery Monitor → Disable battery optimizations
2
Option 2: Open TikTask battery settings manually
Go to Settings → Apps → Manage apps → TikTask → Battery saver → Set to No restrictions

2) Enable Auto-start (very important)

Goal: allow TikTask to start itself when needed (and after reboot).

1
Option 1: Using System Monitor
Open TikTask → System Monitor → Auto-Start Service → enable Background Autostart for TikTask
2
Option 2: Turn Autostart ON manually
In phone settings, search for AutoStart, open it, find TikTask and turn it ON. On some phones: Security app → Manage apps → TikTask → Autostart.

3) Allow background activity

Goal: TikTask can run while the phone is locked. Wording varies by MIUI version.

Use System Monitor → Battery Monitor again if it is showing a warning, or go to Settings → Apps → Manage apps → TikTask → Other Permissions, and turn ON:

✅ Show on Lock Screen
✅ Display pop-up windows
✅ Open new windows while running in the background

4) Lock TikTask in Recent apps (small trick, big impact)

This prevents MIUI from killing TikTask too easily.

1
Lock TikTask
Open TikTask once, open Recent apps, long-press TikTask, then tap the Lock icon.

5) Make sure notifications are allowed

Even if the task runs, you might miss alerts or status updates if notifications are limited.

1
Option 1: Using System Monitor
Open TikTask → System Monitor → Notification Service → tap to enable.
2
Option 2: Enable TikTask notifications manually
Go to Settings → Notifications & Control center → App notifications → TikTask, then enable notifications.
  1. Create a test schedule for 2 minutes from now
  2. Lock your phone
  3. Wait and confirm it runs on time

If it’s still late on MIUI

  • Temporarily disable Battery Saver mode while testing
  • Double-check Settings → Battery → App battery saver and confirm TikTask is No restrictions
