recipients
When your recipient list grows, manual entry stops being practical. TikTask helps you import recipients faster without guessing what will be accepted.

Quick answer
Yes. TikTask lets you import recipients from CSV and XLSX files across supported channels. Import is done for the currently selected channel inside your task, so unrelated values are skipped. Before importing, TikTask shows which rows are accepted and which need fixing.
Preparing your file
- Download TikTask’s template file and follow the built-in instructions.
- Use the columns that match the channels and recipient types you want to import.
- Common columns can include display name or chat name, phone number, email, Instagram handle, X handle, profile URL, post URL, or broadcast list name.
- You do not need every column for every channel.
- Import happens against the currently selected channel, so unrelated values are skipped.
How to import recipients

Select action
Choose the task action you want to configure.
2
Select channel
Choose the channel you are currently adding recipients for.
3
Open the recipients picker
Tap Add recipients and choose Import from file.
4
Select your CSV or XLSX file
TikTask reads .csv and .xlsx files and shows a preview.
5
Review accepted and skipped rows
TikTask checks the file against the selected channel and shows which rows are valid and which are skipped or invalid.
6
Fix or continue
If needed, update your file and import again. If the accepted rows look correct, continue.
7
Confirm import
Import the accepted recipients into the task.
8
Save as a list (optional)
Save the imported recipients as a reusable Recipient List if you want.
How TikTask import works
- Import is channel-specific inside the task.
- If your task includes more than one channel, import each channel separately.
- TikTask skips unrelated values for the selected channel.
- Empty or invalid rows are skipped with warnings.
- You can review accepted and rejected rows before confirming import.
- There is no hard content-level limit to present on this page.
ℹ️
Example
If you are importing for WhatsApp, phone-number-based rows are used and Instagram handles are skipped. If you are importing for Instagram, handles are used and unrelated phone-only rows are skipped.
Best practices
- Use TikTask’s template file whenever possible.
- Select the channel first before importing.
- Include country codes for phone-number-based channels.
- Review skipped rows before final import.
- Save successful imports as Recipient Lists for reuse.
- Split imports by channel inside multi-channel tasks.
