🔋 Infinix and Tecno: Power Manager settings you must change

Infinix and Tecno phones can stop background apps aggressively. Do these steps once to keep TikTask reliable.

Infinix and Tecno phones often have extra Power Manager rules that quietly stop apps in the background. That’s why scheduling apps can be late or never run unless you change a few settings.

You only do this once. After that, TikTask becomes reliable.

ℹ️
Tip
If a menu name looks different on your phone, use the Search bar in Settings and type the word in bold (Battery, Power Manager, Auto-start, Notifications).

What we’re fixing (simple)

  • Background activity can be blocked to save battery
  • Apps can be stopped after you lock the phone
  • Auto-start can be disabled after reboot
  • Notifications can be hidden or limited

5-minute checklist (do in order)

Before you follow the manual steps, open TikTask and check System Monitor. It highlights any missing permissions or battery issues and lets you jump straight to the right settings screen. If, for any reason, the shortcut doesn’t work on your phone, you can still use the manual paths below.

1) Set TikTask battery usage to Unrestricted / No restrictions

Goal: don’t let the phone delay schedules.

1
Open TikTask battery settings
Go to Settings → Apps → TikTask → Battery.
2
Choose Unrestricted / No restrictions
Select Unrestricted, No restrictions, or Don’t optimize (wording varies).

2) Allow background activity (Power Manager / Phone Master)

Goal: TikTask keeps working when your phone is locked.

1
Open Power Manager
Open Phone Master or Power Manager (name varies). Look for App management or Background management.
2
Allow TikTask in the background
Find TikTask and allow background activity. If you see options like “Keep running” or “Do not restrict”, enable them.

3) Enable Auto-start (important)

Goal: tasks still run after reboot and the phone can wake TikTask when needed.

  • Go to Settings → Apps → Special access → Auto-start, then enable TikTask
  • Or: Power Manager → Startup manager → enable TikTask (if available)

4) Disable “Deep sleep” / “App freeze” for TikTask (if present)

Some models have aggressive features like Deep sleep apps, App freeze, or Sleeping apps. If you see these, exclude TikTask.

5) Make sure notifications are enabled

Notifications help you see alerts and warnings when something blocks a task.

1
Enable TikTask notifications
Go to Settings → Notifications → App notifications → TikTask, then turn notifications ON.
  1. Create a test schedule for 2 minutes from now
  2. Lock your phone
  3. Wait and confirm it runs on time

If it still doesn’t run

  • Restart your phone once
  • Open TikTask once after restarting
  • Double-check step 2 (Power Manager background rules)
  • Use the general Reliability checklist guide if needed
💡
Tip
On Infinix and Tecno, step 2 (Power Manager background rules) is usually the real fix. Don’t skip it.
